Following post-race scrutineering of the F2 World Championship, at Barford on 9 September, 100 George MacMillan was suspended from racing, with immediate effect, on account of his car failing Rule 202. Type and Contstruction: Ballast.
The driver has been handed a 3 months ban from racing. In reaching this decision, it was recognised that no attempt had been made to hide, or disguise, the piece of metal which was in excess of the 6mm thickness permitted. The driver was also praised for his understanding and acceptance of the situation. He may return to racing on 10 December 2012.
