13/301

28 April 2011

A Disciplinary Hearing was held for the incidents noted below.
The panel felt it was important to note that both drivers deserve credit for their honesty in admitting the offences, and this has been reflected in the penalties issued.

13 Daniel Ford was found guilty of a forceful/deliberate fencing of 301 Charlie Whitfield.  Ford was given a three month ban, which is to be suspended until the end of the 2011 racing season, and a fine of £100, which is to be paid prior to him racing.

301 Charlie Whitfield was found guilty of ramming a car on the infield.  Whitfield was given a three month ban, which is to be suspended until the end of the 2011 racing season, and a fine of £100, which is to be paid prior to him racing.

Hence, notwithstanding the payment of fines, both drivers are free to return to racing with immediate effect.
