The 2011 Shoot Out Championship takes place at Birmingham Wheels on November 19th at 6pm. BriSCA F2 promoters have been working hard to build upon the huge success of 2010 and have enhanced the event after listening to race fans and drivers.
For 2011 there will be the opportunity to score points at 13 Qualification Rounds. The points scored in the these rounds will create a points chart, from which the top 32 available drivers will be seeded directly into the Shoot Out Grand Final which will be worth a cool £1000 to win!
The grid will be a `bumper to bumper' race in graded order. Qualification for the race itself will be via the qualifying rounds.
Heat one will be a non-qualifiers race with the top 2 eligible to race from the back of the grid in the Shoot Out Championship.
BriSCA F2 are enquiring with our colleagues in Northern Ireland and in mainland Europe for possible representation, too.
After the non-qualifiers heat, and the Shoot Out Championship, there will be a consolation race and then a meeting final. Then, the evening (and indeed, the season), will end with a `Peoples' Champions Race’ of which more details will be revealed over the coming weeks. Principally though, the crowd will decide which drivers will be eligible to take part in this race by `texting the box' their choice of driver!
This promises to be an exciting and intriguing night - further updates will appear in due course.
Sponsors are sought to enhance the prize schedule and sponsor races, the Shoot Out itself and the Peoples’ Champions Race - and further details will be announced as to how fans may get involved in lap sponsorship for the finale. Full meeting sponsorship is available and suppliers can get involved in product placement / sponsorship. Contact BriSCA F2 for more details.
