Mildenhall Update and News

BriSCA F2 Stockcars 2012 Mildenhall season round up and thank you (from RDC Promotions)
Last weekend marked the final appearance of the BriSCA F2 Stockcars at Mildenhall in 2012 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the drivers for another tremendous season of racing at the Suffolk shaleway.

While the entry at the weekend of 42 was our lowest of the season, it perhaps underlines how strong the car counts have been this year with an impressive average car count of 54 which is slightly up compared to 2011 but we did one run more meeting in 2011 with two of our planned F2 meetings at Mildenhall not taking place during a turbulent month of June.

Furthermore the drivers racing at Mildenhall last weekend took our overall total of F2 drivers who raced at the shaleway in 2012 to exactly 100 drivers, one more than last season despite us running one less fixture in 2012 compared to 2011.

It is also hugely impressive to report on the amount of drivers who enjoyed a 100 per cent attendance record at Mildenhall this season with exactly one quarter of those who raced at the track in 2012 competing at every meeting (although it could be argued the number is higher this season due to the lower amount of meetings which were staged).

Therefore our congratulations are extended to the following drivers for their wonderful support of the Mildenhall meetings in 2012. They are

77 John Davies
103 Carl Issit
145 Graham Mole
148 Gary Lusher
186 George Turiccki
219 Chris Mitchell
366 Mick Kemp
376 Darren Seneschall
377 Daz Shaw
379 Stu Cayzer
380 Steve Cayzer
396 Dave Johnson
416 Dickie Raymond
423 Neil Darby
449 Mark Dorrill
495 John Cayzer
498 Derek Cayzer
569 Chris Hands
595 Jamie Young
597 Barry Clow
606 Andy Palmer
619 Andrew Clarke
662 Steve Wycherly
696 Paul Lemons
798 Mark Sargent
905 Rob Mitchell

A special mention should also go to 366 Mick Kemp and 396 Dave Johnson who attended every meeting despite failing to score a single track championship point all season.

Further congratulations to 606 Andy Palmer who once again won a very competitive track championship, sealing his victory in excellent fashion by winning the last Mildenhall race of the season, 380 Steve Cayzer who completed his first full season back in the formula by winning the White and Yellow Grade Series Final and to 13 Andy Ford who won the historic first F2 Challenge Trophy staged at Mildenhall last weekend.

Again our thanks to all the F2 drivers and their mechanics and families for their support this season and we very much look forward to seeing you all again in 2013. We will confirm our 2013 fixtures as soon as they are finalised but we can confirm we hope to run nine BriSCA F2 Stockcar meetings next season with hopes that the season opener will be on April 6.
