Qualification for the inaugural BriSCA F2 Shoot Out Championship comes to a close this Saturday night, 5th November, at Stoke when BriSCA F2 make a welcome return to Loomer Road and despite being on the eve of World of Shale Championship at Belle Vue on Sunday 6th - over 50 drivers have entered including a couple from Mainland Europe.
Currently the points are pretty evenly divided between shale and tarmac drivers and next week the final qualifying list will be announced for the first ever official BriSCA Shoot Out Championship which will be staged as part of the spectacular GALA NIGHT at Birmingham Wheels on Saturday 19th November at 5.45.pm, and which boasts a £1000 first prize.
The top 28 available drivers on the list will automatically qualify for this closed grid race and 2 lucky drivers will be able to `grab' a spot at the back of the grid from Heat One which will be `Last Chance Qualifier' - The sport's `top names', most dual surface drivers, are in the hunt and like last years 50 series, this is building up to be a massive finale to the season in the West Midlands. It's BriSCA's last night at the proms with no holds barred and an evening where scores can be settled!
60 Bookings are being accepted and Qualifiers should confirm their attendance asap so as the grid can be announced in the next 7 days.
This is a big night for BriSCA and the F2's share the programme with BriSCA F1 and the Stars of tomorrow, BriSCA Ministox. A commemorative programme at just £1 will be available and for those with a leaning towards the big cars, the full 2012 F1 fixture list will be exclusively revealed and the 2012 major BriSCA F2 events!
If the event wasn't interesting enough, we finish with the `Peoples' Champions Race' - a closed format `Shoot - Out' where you, the fans will decide in a unqiue `text the box' vote to decide who you wish to see in it - plus there might be an odd `wild card' entry! This will be kept under wraps until the night however it promises an intriguing and action packed end to season 2011.
