Silencers

Following analysis of the results obtained by the Noise & Accoustics Consultant of the Oval Racing Council international (ORCi), on behalf of BriSCA F2, the use of BriSCA F2 silencers with extended tailpipes will not be permitted in 2010. All BriSCA F2 silencers must be detachable for inspection, and may not have any tailpipes attached.

There is evidence that extended tailpipes produce more noise than traditional exhausts.
