2010 Fixtures

BriSCA F2 can confirm that 2010 fixture planning is already well under way.  Following Championship allocation earlier in the Autumn, the topic of 2010 fixtures has been on the Agenda at the two most recent BriSCA F2 promoters meetings.

Whilst the fixtures remain in Draft form currently, some member promotions of BriSCA F2 have requested that assurances be given to all raceogers, about their plans for 2010.  For example, there is likely to be a small increase in the number of F2 race dates at Kings Lynn.  The three Incarace venues - Birmingham, Hednesford and Northampton - will again host BriSCA F2 Stock Car racing, with race dates very similar to this year.  In Scotland, Crimond will move into a third successive year of enjoying its status as a member track of BriSCA F2, whilst GMP Scotland will continue to promote at Cowdenbeath and Knockhill.  Indeed, to underline its position, GMP Scotland have released the following statement:

Contrary to rumour, Central Park, Cowdenbeath has not been sold and can not be developed until such times as the Football Club and Stock Car circuit has been relocated.

To this end, the owners and Fife council, have been in discussion and have identified land within the Cowdenbeath catchment area which is suitable for the relocation; this land has outline planning for development.

The racing will continue at Racewall for 2010, and possibly 2011 dependant upon how the new development progresses.

GMP Scotland will continue to keep everyone up to date with developments when we have factual information to pass onto the drivers and fans, we would like to thank them all for showing their continued support.
