Following the penultimate meeting of the season at Mildenhall for the BriSCA F2 Stockcars last weekend we can now confirm the qualifiers and starting order for the 2011 White and Yellow Grade Series Final which takes place at Mildenhall on October 1st
Congratulations to the top 30 drivers who have qualified for this years race and to 260 Anthony Winters who has topped the chart and will start on pole position.
Invitations will be sent to the qualifiers in due course but this year’s series final has a significant change to previous events at Mildenhall. Because the race is being held on the same night as the 2011 English Open Championship at Mildenhall we feel it would not be fair to the majority to have the white and yellow grade series final double up as heat one which has been the norm in previous years.
Therefore the White and Yellow Grade Series will be the first race of the night on October 1 but will not offer an places in the evenings Grand Final, or for that matter carry track or national points, and all drivers will then compete in one of the qualifying heats later on to try and qualify for the English Open.
Also, due to the somewhat complicated format, we will disappointingly not be able to guarantee a Grand National will be run at this meeting. However if time and other factors allow it, one may be added, but a Grand National will not be programmed.
We plan to release a more detailed statement behind our decision process in the coming weeks but in the meantime here are the qualifiers and their final scores which determine grid positions for the white and yellow grade series final.
