Numbers & Averages:-

195 drivers raced in the fourth grading period of 2017, which contained 14 meetings.  The average

car attendance across those 14 meetings was 41.14 and there were 32 different race winners.  In

total, 353 drivers have raced in the 2017 season to date.

 

The Best Attended Meetings for the Period were:-

Skegness 8 Jul – 81 cars,  Skegness 9 Jul – 73 cars, Skegness 6 Jul – 55 cars,

Northampton 15 Jul – 55 cars, Northampton 16 Jul – 50 cars, Bristol 24 Jun – 46 cars.

 

Drivers with the Best Attendance Record for the Period were:-

16 Craig Wallace – 10 app.,  629 Euan Millar – 10 app.,  606 Andrew Palmer – 10 app.,

7 Gordon Moodie – 9 app.,  527 James Riggall – 9 app.,  618 Ben Lockwood – 9 app.

 

Top Scorers for the Period, by grade, were:-

White: 621 Emma Mellis – 45 pts;  Yellow: 25 Stuart Hodson – 73 pts;

Blue: 935 Nathan Maidment – 77 pts;  Red: 527 James Riggall – 203 pts;  S/S: 7 Gordon Moodie – 279 pts.

 

2017 Novice Of The Year

The Novice of the Year is open to ‘genuine’ novices, i.e. those who are in their first BriSCA F2 season

and who started the season with a white roof.  The novice who has scored the most national points

at the end of the season will be the winner of the Novice of the Year title.

Current standings:

629 – 736pts, 142 – 305pts, 325 – 45pts, 398 – 18pts, 348 – 9pts, 660 – 6pts, 113 – 4pts, 819 – 4pts,

540 – 3pt, 71 – 2pts, 222 – 2pts, 342 – 2pts, 614 – 1pt.

The winner will be presented with the Novice of the Year trophy at the NEC in January 2018.  The

runner-up and the third place finisher will also receive trophies at that time.

 

David’s Observations

-   These grades will come into force on 1 August 2017.  The next grading period of season 2017 will

run from 21 July to 20 August inclusive.

-   In order to be eligible for downgrading on 1 September 2017, you must race a minimum of three

times between 21 July and 20 August and also have raced at least once between 21 June and 20 July.

-   International drivers are shown on the grading list solely for information purposes.  Their positions

have no effect on grades.  Points, appearances etc., are from meetings attended, that are on the

National Fixture List.
