The following items have been updated (14th April 2011)
Rule 204. Bumpers and Armouring
Front and rear bumpers must measure 400mm from the ground to the centre, with the driver out of the car, and this measurement is taken at the centre of the bumper.
Note that, as per Rule 201. Definition, the main rails, bumpers and nerf rails are to be in the same horizontal plane.
Rule 206. Engines
The Duratec engine regulations printed in 2011 BriSCA F2 Stock Car Racing Rules and Regulations contain an error. It was agreed during 2010 to raise the rev limit on these engines to 7750rpm, but this was missed when the rulebook was printed. All ECU’s supplied by BriSCA F2 have the limit set at 7750 rpm.
Rule 207. Axles, Wheels and Transmissions
Wheel spacers are banned from BriSCA F2, but if any type of spacing device is used to change the offset or width of the rear axle, it must be screwed, bolted, or bonded to the wheel or brake disc, and subject to scrutineer’s approval.
Rule 219. Aerofoils
To ensure the bottom of the aerofoil sideplates may not be lower than the level of the rollcage, scrutineers will be encouraged to adopt the same process when checking for compliance. A straight edge (e.g. steel rule, broom handle, metal bar, etc) to be placed in through one side of the cab opening, and out the other side. Raise the straight edge up to the underside of the rollcage tube on both sides of the cab, and ensure the straight edge does not meet the bottom of the aerofoil sideplates.
