Buxton Raceway have asked for their thanks to be passed on to all drivers who supported them for the WCQR/English-Open speed-weekend on 6th/7th July. An excellent turnout of 53 cars contested the World Qualifier on Saturday night, with #761 Richie Bowyer taking a heat and final win and earning himself a return to the yellow grade.

Sunday saw a somewhat reduced turnout for the English Open Championship, but a full grid of cars still qualified for the Final, and were lined up in reverse National-Points averages order to contest the title race. Once again, Bowyer took the spoils despite a significant challenge from #880 Jack Witts, with #213 Tom Bennett in second and Witts coming home in third.
