F2 Juniors General Info 06 August 2026 16:32 AdrianB Introduction A short series of trial meetings for a new class of BriSCA F2 Junior Stock Cars will be held in the second half of 2026 across England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland to gauge interest in progressing the formula further. Age Limits Drivers must be aged 12 or over, and may compete in the class until the day before their 16th birthday Competency Tests As with ALL junior formulas, drivers are required to complete both written and practical competency tests before being granted a racing licence. Any driver who has previously completed and passed the written competency test in order to compete in another Junior formula will only need to complete a practical car control competency test for BriSCA F2 Juniors. Competency tests should be arranged directly through one of the staging promotions as follows: Buxton Raceway - Text message or WhatsApp to 07507 104009 Cowdenbeath Racewall - Details to be confirmed Crimond Raceway - Email to info@crimondraceway.co.uk or message via the track's Facebook page Nutts Corner Raceway - WhatsApp to 07885 826550 Skegness Raceway - Email to info@skegway.info Racing Licenses A BriSCA F2 Junior racing licence can be applied for via the following online form (opens in a new tab)... https://form.briscaf2.com/brisca-f2-junior-form/ Licensing is undertaken by BriSCA F2… the cost for 2026 is £40. There will be NO Mechanics licenses. Admission at meetings will be granted to the registered driver plus 1 adult. Car/Driver Regulations Car Specification – Cars will be an identical technical specification to a standard BriSCA F2 Stock Car… i.e. the same cars as currently used by adult drivers. Driver Safety – Drivers must use personal safety equipment in accordance with the ORCi DSES Regulations, as per all other Junior formulas. Driver Safety – In addition to the minimum standards required by the ORCi in the DSES regulations, the use of fire/flame retardant undergarments (top, bottom, and socks) will be mandatory for all drivers. Car Use - During the trial series, it is NOT permitted for the same car to be driven at a single meeting by both a Junior and Adult driver... one car, one driver at a meeting. Rules of Racing Racing will be strictly NON-contact. Stewards/promoters will be tough on this. There will be NO points scoring, or grading list in the 2026 trial. Starting positions will be drawn for race 1 at a meeting, then reversed for race 2. The Final will be lined up according to combined race 1/race 2 results, those more successful at the rear of the grid. Drivers may eventually be “graded” on merit depending on their overall competency – e.g. as per BriSCA F2 Micro Stock Cars. Appeals/protests/complaints will be heard at the END of the meeting by the Steward/Promoter.
