West-Country White-top #762 Mike Cocks has once again teamed up with Mendips Raceway, Bristol, to repeat the White-top Summer Series at the scenic Somerset venue. Building on previous seasons, fellow west-Country white-top #222 Adrian Watts has joined the party and put up prize-money for 2025 through his “Adrian’s Garden Clearance” business.

Series Dates – A White-top only race will start the day at the following meetings, with trophies awarded to the top three finishers in each race:

• Bank-Holiday Monday 5th May
• Sunday 25th May
• Sunday 3rd August (NPS round)

Race Format – White-top only races will be run over 10 laps, with handicapping as follows:

• 2025 novices will start at the front (unless they win a race or move up and down grades during the season)
• White-tops who have never won a race, and never been anything other than white will start in the middle
• White-tops who have previously won a race, or have achieved a higher grade at any point, will start at the rear.

All groups will be separated as if in three different grades.

Points will be awarded 10 down to 1 in each of the three races, with trophies and prize-money presented to the top three drivers at the end of the series.

Season Top-Scorer Trophy – In addition to the Summer Series, Cocks has also put up a trophy for the highest scoring White-top over the whole of the season at Mendips Raceway. Points will be counted from all Heat/Cons/Final/GN races over the season, when graded as a White-top. The White-top only races will not count as they are stand-alone non-scoring races. Wycombe based #239 Michael Johnston is the current leading White-top scorer at the venue following Easter Sunday’s WCQR.
