#155 Archie Grindey has won the 2025 Novice of the Year title in dominant fashion, scoring more points than the drivers in 2nd, 3rd and 4th placescombined.
Having taken the All-comers victory on his debut, in the out-of-season 2024 Gala Championship meeting at the wheel of the borrowed #578 Mark Gibbs car, the day after his sixteenth birthday, Grindey started 2025 with a Heat and Final double at Skegness in his first points-scoring meeting, and went on to accumulate 9 heat victories and 5 Finals during 2025, en-route to amassing 599 points and eleventh place in the end-of-season grading list.
Scottish youngsters #50 Ethan Gemmell and #339 Rhys Kelly claimed the second and third spots in the final standings.
The Novice of the Year is a season-long points competition for drivers in their first season of racing and is an accumulation of all points scored in points-scoring races/meetings throughout the year.
