Prior to the start of the 2026 season, BriSCA F2, in response to driver feedback, is pleased to announce some changes to the points-scoring system. The changes implemented are aimed at addressing driver concerns regarding under/over-grading and the points awarded at meetings with low car-counts.
Meetings with high car counts run to a full format (Heats/Cons/Final/GN) will see enhanced points awarded down to 15th place in the Final and GN, and to Final qualifiers only in the heats/consolation (as per current practice).
Meetings run to an All-in or 2/3rds format with 20+ cars will see enhanced points on the meeting Final only, with all races awarding points down to 10th place.
Meetings run with 19 cars of fewer will continue to award standard points down to 10th place.
In all formats/car-counts, the meeting Final winner competing in the Grand National race will start from the front of the grid with a one-lap handicap, but will be rewarded with double-points if they finish in one of the points-scoring positions of the format employed at the meeting.
The changed points will apply to all competitions, including monthly grading, National Points Series, World and World of Shale Qualifiers, etc., unless an alternative points award system is specified, e.g. the World Final race.
