Technical Zetec ConRod Bolts Availability

BriSCA F2 and the SSCA are pleased to announce that, further to communications earlier in the year, and following extensive work by ORCi Engine Consultant John Maxwell, new replacement Ford 2.0-litre Zetec con-rod bolts are now available for purchase by drivers/engine-builders.

While BriSCA F2 and the SSCA originally instigated the specification and production process, based on driver and engine-builder feedback, the work has been undertaken by recognised specialist third parties in automotive component supply, and sales of these items will be handled directly by MAR Motorsport.

What?

  • Replacement con-rod bolts for the 2.0-litre Ford Zetec Black-Top engine have been manufactured to the original Ford specification.

Who?

  • Replacement con-rod bolts are available through MAR Motorsport, a specialist distributor of both standard and performance engine components.

How?

  • BriSCA F2 and SSCA Stock Car drivers/engine-builders are being given an initial short priority pre-purchase window, before the items go on general sale, in which they can order the replacement bolts.
    • Drivers/engine-builders should contact the MAR Motorsport sales team directly on 01384 396769.
  • Following the short priority sales window, replacement con-rod bolts will be available directly through MAR Motorsport’s website for general sale.

When?

  • Replacement con-rod bolts are available for priority purchase NOW.
  • The BriSCA F2 Stock Car and SSCA Saloon Stock Car priority window runs until Tue 26th May (after the bank-holiday weekend), following which the bolts will go on general sale to anyone wishing to purchase.

  • It should be noted that BriSCA F2 and the SSCA are NOT involved in the manufacturing, supply, pricing, sales, or shipping of these items, and all questions should be directed to MAR Motorsport.
