Skegness Speed Week Transponders

Important Transponder Information for Skegness Speed-Week

Skegness Raceway have asked that all F2 drivers who are booked in to race at one or more meetings taking place over the Skegness UK Speed Week (9th-16th July) ensure that they have a working transponder, as per the regulations in section 226 of the 'rulebook', especially...

  • 226.01 - All cars MUST be fitted with a working transponder for electronic lap-scoring.
  • 226.03 - The transponder MUST be securely fitted, and working, at all times when the car is on the track or being scrutineered. Care should be taken with rechargeable units to ensure they are securely fitted to the car and will not come loose in an impact.
  • 226.07 - Results will NOT be credited to a driver if their transponder fails to operate from the start of the meeting.

Drivers with a subscription based transponder MUST ensure the subscription is active. A powered transponder without an active subscription does NOT constitute an operating transponder.

Any new driver, those drivers who have not raced at Skegness before, or drivers with a different transponder, are requested to attend Race Control (in the bridge over the pit lane), prior to the start of their first meeting of Speed Week, to advise the system operator of their transponder number so that it can be registered on the database. Doing so will help ensure that no-one is missed out from lap-scoring in what will undoubtedly be busy races, and ensure a smoother running of the meeting.
